The Experience: Anna's is a wonderful place to take your kids to spend their allowance, as they will actually be able to afford the toys! You can walk away with a bag full of small toys for $10. There is a big, low table of $1 toys and a bin of Matchbox size cars for $.25. The stock includes little people and animals, dollhouses, books, puzzles, games, make-believe toys, building toys, dolls, Beanie babies, preschool toys, little kitchens, cars, trains and train tracks, collectible toys such as Star Wars toys, toys for use in play therapy, and new educational toys. The merchandise is accessible and easy for kids to browse. The small size of the store also makes it possible for the kids to wander off in different directions to pick out their goodies. Anna herself is very helpful and friendly, and enjoys chatting with the customers. She checks all the playsets to make sure they are complete before reselling them, or if a part is missing, lists what it is. There is even a little section of "retro" dollhouses and little people and furniture from the 70's. Anna will often make deals on items, especially if you are purchasing large quantities of toys. The store will also purchase gently used toys, during fall, winter, or spring. Anna's hours are somewhat limited, so check the hours carefully before leaving the house.
