The actual area of the park that is located outside the pool grounds is tiny. It includes several picnic tables, a small playscape, and two swings. The Experience: There are very pretty stone steps leading down to the park, or you can take a long curving paved walkway down to the park. There is a view of Town Lake through the trees. It could be a nice place for a picnic before or after swimming in Deep Eddy Pool. However, most of the picnic tables are in full sun. It is a small park, so don't expect to experience hours of entertainment.
Before you go: Bring sunscreen, consider bringing a picnic. You may want to bring a camera to take a family picture on the pretty steps.
