The Experience: The food at Baja Fresh is good and affordable, and seems to be low in grease and fat. It is easy to pick up for take-out for a casual at-home dinner. We like the spicy carnitas tacos and chicken enchiladas with green sauce. There is a salsa bar with relishes including excellent pico de gallo. The service is one thing that has always impressed us, as it is excellent. They always double check your order twice, once at the register and once when they are handing you your food. However, if getting food to go, make sure they include your children's drinks if you have ordered milk or juice. We would advise not dining in during the weekday lunch hours. When we went recently at that time, it was very crowded and loud, and a long line leading from the door to the register bisected the restaurant, making it almost impossible to pick up our food, get drinks and utensils, and bus our trays.
